The most prominent high-profile investor this year has been British tycoon Mr Richard Branson of Virgin Group, but there have been other major international companies who have made a quiet entry, attracted by opportunities in an improved investment climate.
“We have seen a renewed interest by investors in Kenya over the past one year” says Mr Alex Andrewes, Executive Director Eden Square Business Centre (ESBC), which caters for local and international businesses seeking to break into or expand into the East African region.
ESBC’s serviced offices also provide lobby listing, a personalised voicemail box, incoming and outgoing faxes as well as preferred rates on office supplies and courier services.
“We have an efficient and economical telephone system including VOIP international calling, IT support, high quality bureaux services for photocopying, printing and scanning, all to ensure that our state-of the-art services are available round-the-clock to our customers.
“We are planning to open new centres over the next few years around East Africa,” says Wamakonjio.

It is impressive to see the number of businesses setting up in Nairobi by both local and international investors.
