BUILDING RESILIENCE, DEALING WITH EMERGING CHALLENGES — ADDITIONS TO SPENDING PLANS
With the increase in borrowing rates, I think we are set to see the spending habits go lower as the Mwananchi will have reduced access to money.
I like the budget allocation on Irrigation programmes at 7.3 billion, as it is in 2010 the sector showed a growth of 6.3%
Note how funding in irrigation, agribusiness, water harvesting is gaining importance-as the issue of food security takes precedence in not only Kenya but also all over the world-we are seeing more developed nations scrambling to get land, and develop innovative irrigation schemes for food production.

Kenyans are going to need to tighten their belts if they are to survive these changing times. For some reason though there seems to be more spending happening, so where is all this money coming from?
